Session suggestion:

BE TRUE TO YOU

As you start to think about your seniors portraits, be sure to bring your individuality into it. Some of my and my senior clients’ favorite photos are those that showcase the things you are passionate about.

It can be a hobby, sport, activity, or even a pet! Let’s figure out how to incorporate it into your session!

Have fun & be comfortable!

It's time for the session! Our goal is to come away with beautiful photographs, but we'll have fun along the way! I want to make you feel completely comfortable, so I will guide you through flattering poses and an all around good time! I know being in front of the camera can be uncomfortable, so I'll be your biggest cheerleader, to encourage you and make sure you know just how great you're doing (because you will do great, I promise!).

create something that lasts

When is the last time you went through the photos on your computer? I understand how important digital images are (and you always get some with each package!), but to make this time in your life even more special, we can work together to create gorgeous, professionally printed wall art or albums for you to look at every day. All packages come with at least one printed item so you can view your images in your home everyday.

final images

I know the most exciting part of your session is actually seeing your photos! I work hard to get them ready as quickly as I possibly can. Within a few weeks, your personal gallery will be emailed directly to you to view and choose your favorites. All your images will be fully edited, but you should look like you! I will touch up blemishes, stray hairs, and any other distracting elements.

Pre-session Consultation

It's important to get off to a strong start, so we'll collaborate prior to your scheduled date to get all the details planned out - outfits, locations, props - anything you may need! I'll make recommendations to make your session perfectly unique to you.

You’ll also be provided with a style guide once you book that will give you some ideas on how you can look and feel your best before and during your session.

how it works

senior sessions

When should I have my senior portraits taken?

Usually, senior portraits are taken starting in the summer between Junior and Senior year and can be scheduled up to a few months before graduation depending on your needs. The earlier you book, the more likely you will be able to get the time of year and date you'd like.

If you’d like to have your images during senior year, I would recommend trying to schedule in the summer or early fall semester. If you need images for graduation announcements, be sure to leave time to get everything scheduled and printed.

But don't worry if you've waited until the last minute. If I am free, I will try to fit you in before graduation. I've had seniors (usually senior boys) who have waited until less than a month before graduation, and have even photographed graduates. So, consider your needs and schedule when deciding when to book your session.

Where can we shoot?

It’s entirely up to you! Some people have a special location in mind and some need suggestions, but the final decision is yours. We will find the best light and create great images together anywhere. Some locations will require a photography fee to shoot there, but I will let you know beforehand.

Who can i bring?

I require at least one parent to accompany us on your shoot. This ensures that they know what is going on and that we get the photos they want as well as the photos you want. You may bring one friend with you if you think they will help you feel more comfortable, but be sure not to bring them if they are going to be a distraction (Remember, this day is about you!) We can take a few images with your parent(s) and friend at the end of the session too!

Can I bring props or multiple outfits?

Yes, please do! Bringing sporting equipment, instruments, letterman jackets, clothes representing your future college, and even your pet will only serve to make your session even more unique to you and represent who you are right now. You are welcome to bring as many outfit changes as you’d like, but I can’t guarantee we’ll have time to shoot in all of them, so I recommend trying to limit yourself.

Have a question?

Can I bring my dog?

Yes!!! Please bring your dog! Dogs are my favorite and I absolutely love photographing the connection between my seniors and their dogs. Those can be some of the most special photos to look back on in the future. If you do bring your dog, either bring someone to keep track and hold onto the dog when we aren't shooting the both of you or plan to have someone meet us later in your session with your dog.

Do you edit the final photos?

All final images that you receive are fully edited.
BUT
I think your photos should look like the real you, not an overly airbrushed version of you. My philosophy is that I will remove anything temporary (blemishes, cuts, bruises, stray hairs, etc.), but I won’t alter your body. I will adjust color and contrast for the best quality, vibrant images I can provide. We can talk about any special requests if needed.
